A Name With History
Cross Ranch has a history that began long before today's horses ever entered the arena.
The property was once home to a historic dairy farm, serving as a place where livestock, land, and hard work were at the center of daily life. Generations of agricultural work shaped the property and gave it a character that still remains today.
We believe that history is worth honoring.
While the purpose of the property has evolved, its heart has not. Cross Ranch continues the tradition of caring for animals, stewarding the land, bringing people together, and passing practical skills from one generation to the next.
Today, the cows have given way to horses, and the dairy farm has become an equestrian community, but the spirit of the ranch remains.

We chose the name Cross Ranch intentionally.
It connects our future to the history of the property and to the generations who worked this land before us. We want to preserve the feeling of a real ranch: a place where animals are cared for, people work with their hands, children learn responsibility, and time spent outdoors matters.
Our goal isn't to recreate the dairy farm of the past.
It is to build upon it.
The barns, fields, open spaces, and agricultural character of the property provide the foundation for what Cross Ranch is becoming today: a home for horses, a place for riders to learn, and a gathering place for the Colorado equestrian community.

Every ranch has a story, and the story of this property has continued to evolve over generations.
In more recent years, the property became home to Boulder Equestrian Center, an established equestrian facility that provided a place for riders, families, students, and horses to learn and grow. Boulder Equestrian Center brought new life to the property through riding lessons, horse boarding, camps, training, and a thriving equestrian community.
Today, Cross Ranch begins the next chapter.
We are grateful for the history that came before us, including the work of those who farmed this land and the equestrians who cared for it more recently. We don't see Cross Ranch as a replacement for what came before. We see it as a continuation.
The purpose of the property may continue to change, but its connection to animals, agriculture, horses, and community remains.
Today, the ranch is being shaped around a new vision: a place where horses come first, where riders can develop their skills and confidence, where families can gather, and where the traditions of horsemanship can be passed on to another generation.
The dairy farm was one chapter.
Boulder Equestrian Center was another.
Cross Ranch is the next.And we are honored to be the ones entrusted with writing it.
